Friday Favorite Five..............

That we live in a court..............
That my neighbors have very large mature trees that they hang fun things like rope ladders, swings, and tire swings from for the kids to play on...............
That the sun still SHINES in November in California..........................
That soon- (okay not really but I have to tell myself that) LOST will be back on.............


My love of music.................

I think this is probably one of the most beautiful instrumentals ever written.

Since I opted out for last week, guess I'll have to do this week! :-)

1) our 1/2 street where the the neighborhood kids can play -- we have 3 houses on our street that end at a green belt. It's one of the very few flat spaces in our neighborhood so all the kids like to play on it. Right now, I'm listening to a football game going on out there and the girls trying to do their "girly" thing as well!
2) the internet -- I love being able to search for anything! I love that I could book our beach house via the internet without seeing the house, only pictures! Now I'm looking for houses in Florida for Spring Break. Gotta love our 21st century technology!
3) gas prices are going down! Yay!! I filled my mini-van for only $26 this week! A miracle!
4) Our new president! What a wonderful country we live in to have the first African American president when only 40 years ago he wouldn't have been able to drink from the same water fountain as me. I'm ready for some change!
5) filtered water from the refridgerator. Mine has been broken since Bob left on his trip! I miss my filtered water. Water from the tap is just not the same....

These are kind of lame, but currently my favorite Friday 5! Thanks Eve!

Why do I blog?

I have never been one to keep a journal. I have never been able to write in a diary for more than a week! I have countless scrapbooks that still need to be journaled. I do this in hopes of becoming a better journalist. I do this to document everyday life. I do this so I don't have to scrapbook EVERY picture! I do this for me, our friends and family, & mostly the kids. One day they will have it all - because I took the time to document all the little things that REALLY do matter. Everyday life....all the little moments you & I can't remember because the memories are long gone.......
