I’m So LOST………..{week 21}

It looks like February 2nd, 2010 will be the premiere date for LOST!  You know the drill……no calls, no emails, no texts.  I won’t respond.  I will be fixated on the TV….and Jack.

I saw the most awesome trailer for season 6 while at the New Moon movie Friday.  It was footage I have seen a million times….nothing new.  However seeing all the characters on the BIG screen was pretty intense.  I can not EVEN wait!

Well this is what I came up with for this week:

Now if you don’t watch LOST you won’t have a clue what this card is.  So let me explain…… the island is a picture of all the Dharma station locations.  And the numbers at the bottom are the numbers that kinda tie everything and everyone together.

Over on the SL-LOST site there is a thread about which season poster is the favorite.
These are the choices……

Season 1:

Season 2:  029e6dfbfa53752a8da9cc76670963bd

Season 3:

Season 5:

Season 6:

poster_mini These are the results so far:

Favorite LOST Poster?

Season 1 14% (153 votes)

Season 2 20% (219 votes)

Season 3 21% (236 votes)

Season 4 11% (123 votes)

Season 5 13% (148 votes)

Season 6 21% (240 votes)

Total Votes: 1,119

I actually voted last week and the results were much different then.  My pick was Season 2.  I like the up close and personal feel about it.  Also the colors used.  The quote they used is something I have always believed.  Everything happens for a reason.  Both good and bad.  I stick to that.   The rest of them kinda look the same to me.  I think they should have mixed it up a little more like they did with Season 3. (Which by the way is my 2nd pick!)
So if you want head over there and cast your vote.  Or as a designer….what do you feel is the best poster?

Believe It Or Not, I Love It & Not Because Of It’s Name…………………….

I went to Ulta in search of a new fragrance.  I smelled about 100 of them.  And ended up with this one:

302047072_tp It is actually part of the Lovely Collection.  There is also Dawn and Endless.  Twilight was my favorite.  And not because of the name.  My daughter said “Well of course you picked that one!”

Next time you are out and about they sell them just about everywhere but your average Walmart or Target.  Give them all a smell and tell me which one you like best!
You can go to her website and find a store near you!
Sarah Jessica Parker

image Twilight is a sexy, musk fragrance which reminds of sweet moments of intimacy and closeness. The perfume was created by Laurent Le Guernec and Clement Gavarry of IFF, and composed of bergamot, galbanum, mandarin and pink pepper in top. Heart pulsates in a rhythm of peony and jasmine, while base incorporates amber, sandalwood, incense and musk.

The others forced me to do it.  This should be my blanket statement for everything.  At the very least for when I am in trouble!

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #55……

It was my week to choose the theme.  I went with monochromatic Twilight color themes.  (Thanks Tonya for your help with this one!)

Make a project using a monochromatic color scheme

inspired by the Twilight Saga.

For those who may not know or are unsure, a monochromatic color scheme uses a single color on most every layer of a project. In this type of scheme, various darker shades, grayer tones, and paler tints of the main color may be included in the palette. In addition, the one color is often paired with white or another neutral. (Wording paraphrased from

And finally, we’re doing something even MORE different today!

Alison is also issuing a Special Challenge:

“Hey Twilighters! The time has come! The wait is over! New Moon is going to be released THIS WEEK!!!

I’m betting that a lot of you have big plans; I know I do! But here’s the thing, we at TTIC don’t want to just hear about your experience with the movie, we want to see it!!!

So pack up your camera and TAKE PHOTOS of your New Moon experience! Pics while you’re waiting in line, of you and your Twi-friends, and even the afterglow of seeing all your fave Twi-boys!

Then, pull out your die cut machines, your snazzy embellishments and make a layout! Journal about your night out! Show us those awesome photos! Scrap your movie tickets! Let’s all get scrappin’!!!

This challenge will be due on December 1st, so for those of you that aren’t going to see the flick opening night, you’ve still got some time to play along with us!”

TTIC is taking a Thanksgiving holiday next Tuesday but Alison, Margie, and I will share some special projects to help inspire you to create your own scrappy experience of New Moon!

And finally (oops, I already said that once!), for the comment portion of today’s challenge, please share your New Moon viewing plans! Are you going with your spouse, kids, friends…when? Let’s hear your excitement!

Why do I blog?

I have never been one to keep a journal. I have never been able to write in a diary for more than a week! I have countless scrapbooks that still need to be journaled. I do this in hopes of becoming a better journalist. I do this to document everyday life. I do this so I don't have to scrapbook EVERY picture! I do this for me, our friends and family, & mostly the kids. One day they will have it all - because I took the time to document all the little things that REALLY do matter. Everyday life....all the little moments you & I can't remember because the memories are long gone.......
