9-11-08.......

Last night as I was trying to fall asleep I was flipping through the channels. I came across a program that was put together by local students. It was one of those public access channels. Anyways it was a emotional piece that they put together with images, and video of New York and it's people the day of Sep. 11 2001. They showed the video of the plane hitting the tower- and I actually gasped. As if it was the first time I saw it. I must admit every time I see that it is like I am seeing it for the first time. It is so unbelievable. I remember seeing it for the first time. I remember my feelings that day. I remember being scared for the first time in my life as an American. Mostly I REMEMBER. I will always remember........ Please take a moment today to remember.........

Eve, our thoughts are with our friends accross the pond today and I have take a moment to remember with you.

Lets stand together accross the oceans and stand tall against these minority groups.

My prayers go out to all of you and to all that lost.

I too will never forget, I too can remember the moment I heard the news and where and at what time it was. I will never comprehend the actions of such a group.

I will never forget that day either. My heart is heavy today. I watched the movie Flight 93 earlier this week while on my tread mill. There were several times that I just broke down & lost it. It was a sad, sad day. I am So grateful for all of the men & women who risked their lives to help othere on that September morning. I am so proud to be an American!

Why do I blog?

I have never been one to keep a journal. I have never been able to write in a diary for more than a week! I have countless scrapbooks that still need to be journaled. I do this in hopes of becoming a better journalist. I do this to document everyday life. I do this so I don't have to scrapbook EVERY picture! I do this for me, our friends and family, & mostly the kids. One day they will have it all - because I took the time to document all the little things that REALLY do matter. Everyday life....all the little moments you & I can't remember because the memories are long gone.......
