Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #54………………

n59566751394_59Rebecca got to pick the challenge this week!  At first I really struggled with this one.  However in the end……I would have to say this is one of my favorite theme’s.  Very original as well!  This is what she had to say:

In New Moon, we really get to know more about the "pack" and some of the Quileute traditions. In Quileute legend, the Raven is the trickster figure in Quileute Indian culture. His name is pronounced similar to bah-yuck in Quileute. (I found that tidbit somewhere on the internet!)
Raven is a shape changer, who could assume any form - human or animal. The Raven is a clever and generally benign figure who sometimes helps humankind, but he also has many character traits that are viewed negatively in Quileute culture (greed, laziness, arrogance, deceitfulness, and rudeness) and many traditional legends have to do with Raven misbehaving and getting into trouble because of it. The tricks sometimes backfire, but in the manner of great fables - they offered life lessons for the young and old.
Your challenge: make a project that celebrates the Raven or any other Quileute legend (google it if you need some ideas!)
Comment section: Tell me your favorite fable or about the "trickster" in your life!

And this is what I came up with:

IMG_0426Using a few different products on this card….I love the end result.

All paper was from from scraps.  (Yeah!) The silver ribbon was a remnant from the Twilight Halloween shirts Lyndsay and I made.  And I made sure to use the blue paper to accent the Raven’s blue eye in the picture.  I think that is so cool. The word Fly is from my Club Scrap birds of a feather kit.  IMG_0424 IMG_0425Wasn’t that fun?  I hope you play along this week!

Hope you enjoyed!

As always, our Design Team has fantastic projects to display for this week’s challenge – please go and check them out!

Why do I blog?

I have never been one to keep a journal. I have never been able to write in a diary for more than a week! I have countless scrapbooks that still need to be journaled. I do this in hopes of becoming a better journalist. I do this to document everyday life. I do this so I don't have to scrapbook EVERY picture! I do this for me, our friends and family, & mostly the kids. One day they will have it all - because I took the time to document all the little things that REALLY do matter. Everyday life....all the little moments you & I can't remember because the memories are long gone.......
