Saving For Disneyland........................

The family is saving for a trip to Disneyland. I took this HUGE nut jar when Rob was done with it and made it into a Disneyland jar.

The kids are adding their money as well. Rob put a 5.00 in there the other day and told me not to steal it to go to Starbucks......
Who me?

I LOVE it! What a great idea!! My hubby and I are heading to Orlando in June to Disney World to celebrate my birthday. I might have to borrow your idea to save up some spending money for my trip.

what a great idea! That is a good way to keep the kids exicted about saving. They get to see the progress everyday. I love it!

This is a fabulous idea, one we need to implement in our own home. I would like to go to the CA Disney next time, too humid in FL. Good luck with the project, I believe spare change and loose bills add up really fast.

Hmm, I'd have to take that $5 for starbucks... I did find a $5 bill in the dryer and actually did go to starbucks with it. I had been washing the kids clothes and think maybe it was old, forgotten money given to one of my kids from their Mamaw. As the kids say, Finders Keepers!

I keep an old Crystal Light container in the laundry room (and one in the kitchen) for stamp money. So far I keep digging in it for coke machine money and ice cream money for the kids but mine is not decorated and may still have crystal light dust in it.lol

What a great idea! Some of that looks a little familiar! I love how you can take "scraps & leftovers" and turn it into a work of art. You are awesome!

What a BAD friend I am. I forgot to mention that my BFF Deb gave me most of the fun Disney stuff here that I used to decorate the jar. We were scrapping and she was finishing up her Disney album that she made!
Thanks Deb!

Why do I blog?

I have never been one to keep a journal. I have never been able to write in a diary for more than a week! I have countless scrapbooks that still need to be journaled. I do this in hopes of becoming a better journalist. I do this to document everyday life. I do this so I don't have to scrapbook EVERY picture! I do this for me, our friends and family, & mostly the kids. One day they will have it all - because I took the time to document all the little things that REALLY do matter. Everyday life....all the little moments you & I can't remember because the memories are long gone.......
