Been Tagged......

I was tagged by these two FABULOUS ladies:
Tami
Lisa
Click on their names and check out their fun & adorable blogs!
I am not sure I can come up with seven people....
Lisa & Gina (two great sister's that I scrapped with at NSW)
Holli (My longest-time bestest friend)
Raimi (Another wonderful friend)
Nancy (I LOVE her blog! Go check it out...)

A lot of my other friends that I know check out my blog - that need to get a blog..... if they HAD a blog I could tag them.....
Lisa B.
Dana
Debby

Okay seven random facts:
1. My graduating class in HS was only 30 people.
2. I LOVE to go places by myself. Movies, out to eat, etc. Always have.....Always will.
3. Once I start something- I have to finish it.
4. I LOVE to organize. ANYTHING. As a kid I would make sure all my clothes were color coordinated in the closet. All the hangers going the right way. All my books in alpha-order.
5. You can move something a 1/4" and when I walk into the room I will notice it. (There is probably a clinical term for this??? haha)
6. My mind is FULL of useless knowledge. (However this does come in handy watching game shows!)
7. I have always liked quirky and harsh people. And for some reason they like me too!

This is fun...I could come up with a million of these! However my mind is not operating at full capacity since I just left Jacob crying at kindergarten drop off today. Uggghhh. That was a hard one- just wanted to bring him back home with me!

Leave me a comment- I would love to hear some quirky weird facts about you!

One World One Dream......

**Edit- Okay still watching and LOVIN' the Olympics! Why is it everything I want to watch is on at MIDNIGHT? WOW- digging the swimmers & diving & the US volley girls!
However I did have to share - I am sure you have seen or heard the new GM commercial that came on during? That is my new FAV song right now..... Again for the ROCK people that have not heard it: click on the last song in my playlist. "The Story" artist Brandi Carlile. Enjoy......
So unless you live under a rock- you have hopefully been tuning in every chance you get to watch the Olympics! WOW...... once again this is an example of what it means to be proud to be an AMERICAN! These world class athletes put their heart and soul (not to mention their amazing bodies) into it. Some of the personal stories are astonishing! Each and every one tells a different story of triumph or defeat. The level of drive in these athletes is indescribable.....
Here is the official site.
Tune in and prepare to be amazed!

Raimi's Blog Candy.....

My friend Raimi is having a great blog candy giveaway over on her blog. Go check it out!

This Week So Far.....

Has been totally crazy! Trying to get into the swing of things again. Meetings....soccer practice every night....Girl Scouts.....Book Fair planning....getting the kids back to school! Jake and I are trying to find our new routine. It is hard for him to wait until after 11am to go to school. I am sure we will figure it out soon!
However in the evening I have been reading my book. I am on page 523- so about 3/4 of the way through. I am dying to talk to someone about it- but everyone I know is either finished or not quite where I am in the book. LOVE it so far. Can't wait to see how it ends!
I will post some layouts in the next couple days- it has been awhile since I have done anything "scrappy" I can see.....

First Day Of School.............

Lissa getting right into it......
Daddy & Jake.........
Mommy & Jake..........
Jacob's teacher read the "Kissing Hand" to all the kinder's. The parents were allowed to stay to help them trace their hand and their parents hand. Then we had to give them a Kissing Hand and say goodbye! Very sweet...... Of course Jacob wanted Daddy to do it with him!
I can't believe they are all in school now......
I missed them all today. I am so happy for them and delight in their excitement. However I do miss them when they are gone!
This will probably be the last year they let me dress them like this!
Logan and his best friend Brenden!
Alissa....... 4th Grade!
Logan........ 2nd Grade!
Mr. Cool AKA Jacob........... Kindergarten!

Sense Of Sight........

You are the Sense of Sight

You are a very observant, detail oriented person.

You are able to take in a lot of information at once.

You often see things that other people never notice.

You have a good eye for design and aesthetics.

You love to be surrounded by beauty - natural or not.

When you imagine how something should look, you see it clearly in your mind.

Holli Wabbit.......

I am SO excited! My best friend Holli comes in on Friday from Ohio! Her sister is getting married - so she will be here for the wedding. Holli and I have been friends since I was 13. In high school we used to call her Wabbit because her cheeks looked like the Quik rabbit! You have to understand where I grew up EVERYONE had a nick-name! And not always good either. I think Wabbit is pretty cute and endearing. A lot like Holli. I am not sure exactly what we plan to do. Maybe go to the book store.... I do know we will spend a lot of time visiting and laughing like always!

Why do I blog?

I have never been one to keep a journal. I have never been able to write in a diary for more than a week! I have countless scrapbooks that still need to be journaled. I do this in hopes of becoming a better journalist. I do this to document everyday life. I do this so I don't have to scrapbook EVERY picture! I do this for me, our friends and family, & mostly the kids. One day they will have it all - because I took the time to document all the little things that REALLY do matter. Everyday life....all the little moments you & I can't remember because the memories are long gone.......
