Halloween Goodies For Teachers & Cookie Tip................

So again....if you did not read the other posts- Halloween is my favorite. So of course I had to make some goodies for the kids teachers.
Alissa made these little "snugs" to fit around the yummy Starbucks chocolate! She did ALL the work herself! I think they turned out really cute! She had to make about 20 of the stamp images- so she could pick the ones she liked best! (I don't know where she gets that from?) Haha

These are little pizza boxes that I made to go with the chocolate. I found the template at SCS. Jen del Muro made it. Click here if you would like the template. They are very simple and fun to make!

I put a bag of yummy cocoa inside................

Okay now for the TIP..........
I usually make my cookies from scratch- however the kids LOVE these holiday pre-made cookies!
Did you know you can slice them in half to make 2 cookies out of the one? They come out a little smaller, and you cook them a little less. They are perfect for taking to school to share. You figure with all the treats coming in- this cookie is perfect! Just a little bite for each child. Not a FULL sugar cookie. So I took 2 packs (24 count each) sliced them all in half and made 96 mini cookies! That allows Jacob to take 20 + to his class, 20 + for Logan, and 32 + for Alissa's class. And leaves some leftovers for my kids too! They actually turn out to be about the size of a silver dollar! Give it a try!

Have a SAFE and HAPPY Halloween!

Friday Favorite Five..............

Since I am having SOOOO much fun with the TTIC on Tuesdays.......
I thought it would be fun to do something on Fridays.
How about we list 5 of our favorite things right now?
I think this would be a great way to check out some new products, what someone else LOVES right now, and remind us of some things we are grateful for in our lives.
Check it out- and let me know what your FAVORITE five things are! Link back to me here.
Hand-me-downs....... (I have 3 boys, need I say more?)

New book- The Shack.......................
Stack of pictures just developed at Sam's....................
Got this at National Scrapbook Weekend.......I LOVE it. Non-greasy scrapbooking lotion!
Our new plates. Just another cheap set from Walmart. We spend 40.00 on a new set every 2 or so years. The best part getting it from them is: they are cheap. I don't cry when they break or chip. And they even sell the pieces individually so if and when you need to add more pieces to your set you can. This set is made by Better Homes.

Color Throw Down & Wicked................

Okay- if you know me, you know that Halloween is my FAVORITE! So I could not resist the Color Throw down this week! Click here for all the details.
Here is my take on it:

Okay- onto book talk.....
Am I the only one who is having a hard time with this book?
I never liked Wizard of Oz as a kid- still don't. However I thought I would give this a go.
So I am wondering if I should put it down- or plug on?
Anyone plugged thru this that can tell me to continue on?????

Prima Chipboard.............

So I was at my LSS yesterday and saw this 12x12 Prima embossed chipboard. It is super pretty and super thick high quality. Well I did not buy it because I already have my album cover. Click here to see my supplies. However the more I think about it- the more I want this!
So I did a search online and this is what came up:
Prima 6x6 album covers which would be perfect!
I am thinking I might get these now. Not sure if the quality and thickness is the same as what I saw in person.......
If you don't know what class I am talking about- click here.

Here is where I found these online:

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #5...........

It's TUESDAY!!!! Yeah- here it is:
Which team are you on?
Undecided? You are Switzerland.
Like dogs? Jacob is for you.
Well.....we ALL know what TEAM I support!

Tonya had this in her post. I thought it was too funny not to share. (And admittedly true!)
So here is my take this week on the theme:

I found these papers at my LSS. They were in the fall section. Don't they just scream TWILIGHT? Then I went back and found them in black in the Halloween section. So of course I had to get those too! I am sure I will be using them soon! Maybe next Tuesday???
I has a lot of fun with this card. It came together really well. And I was happy with the mono color scheme.
Of course the BEST part was the stamp. If you remember I showed this to you earlier in the week. I am sure you have been drooling ever since! I know I have been! My Terrific friend Tonya sent it to me! So of course I had to return the favor and send her some little goodies too!
This is the back of the card. It was hard to get a good shot of the actual "glimmer" of this beautiful paper.......
I have found when I finish my TTIC- I am wanting more. (I feel like I am reading the books all over again!) So just for fun I made these earrings..........
Edward...............
I LOVE the quote on these..................
I was a little disappointed in the quality of the finished project. I may try making these again when I have more time. I used shrinky dinks. I ran them through the printer. (Maybe it was the fact that the printer ink never seemed to dry?) Cut them, punched them (don't forget this step), and then baked them. I think it would be fun to try and make some necklaces or bracelets??? Everyone I have given them to seems really happy- I am just so darn particular!

Make sure you check out what the rest of the design team did:

And remember if you want to play along with us- here is the link.

Okay- so we all know...I am on team Edward.
Jacob IS funny:
"Sorry. I don’t have any leeches on my speed dial.” - Jacob Black
But so is Mike:
“Did you see the size of that Jacob kid? I think he could take Cullen down.” - Mike Newton
However......Edward is eloquent:
"I’ll be back so soon you won’t have time to miss me. Look after my heart — I’ve left it with you." - Edward Cullen
So as much as I like funny..... I choose eloquent Edward any day of the week!
And BTW- in case you were wondering.....my vampire can beat your werewolf!

Class Coin......................

Alissa got the class coin last week from Mr. Knox................
As you can see, she was VERY happy about that!
These are some of the qualities that you must posses to obtain the class coin..........

Of course we think she is all that and more!
She is having the best year with Mr. Knox! He is a wonderful teacher - who is VERY energetic and excited about learning. Of course that rubs off on Alissa- so she is enjoying every minute of it! We are thankful for our kids wonderful teachers, staff & school!

Why do I blog?

I have never been one to keep a journal. I have never been able to write in a diary for more than a week! I have countless scrapbooks that still need to be journaled. I do this in hopes of becoming a better journalist. I do this to document everyday life. I do this so I don't have to scrapbook EVERY picture! I do this for me, our friends and family, & mostly the kids. One day they will have it all - because I took the time to document all the little things that REALLY do matter. Everyday life....all the little moments you & I can't remember because the memories are long gone.......
